i miss school. not in particular any school but just school. im rather envious of my K1 kids. every morning i watch them trudge into class in their green uniforms with their little school bags and water bottles, and i would think, ah there goes my uniform days. my colleagues told me how fortunate i am, being a student heading for university and all, but deep down i know it's gona be so different. im glad i met up with three-quarter of my class before the guys get whisked off to tekong and the girls become more involved in the corporate world. it was nice to know how everyone's spending the long dreary holidays - michy turning down an internship after the interview cos there's no pay, maddie feeling jaded by her job albeit the attractive pay, shufen having just ended her first job (many more to come i guess), pey yann getting all excited selling fitness centre memberships etc. suddenly everyone seems so... grown up. heh.
anyway, Delirious simply rocked the house last night! it has its own amazing way of injecting some unique form of energy into worship, and i enjoyed every minute of it (: you know i feel there's something 'bout to break now, you know i feel there's a city here to take now, and it's not tough for these ordinary hands, when we trust someone with extraordinary plans.

i love it when he hugs my leg and tells me he knows a lot about stingrays and pokemon cards.
i love it when he grins at me (with those PRETTY eyes) and chuckles cheekily everytime i call him 'little monster'.
i love it when she stands in line in front of me and sticks her hands inside my pockets as if seeking some form of security.
i love it when she fiddles with my earrings and watch and asks a million questions about them.
well, teachers do practise favouritism :p
oh by the way, people around me are falling ill one after one another. first it was my colleague who was sick for 2 days, next my mom caught the flu bug, then my dearest boy was down with fever on his day of enlistment and had to boot out of the camp to rest for another day [edit: another 2 days] =/

major spring-cleaning at my boy's place today. didnt take much to convince him. all i said was, if you wana go home after 2+ mths of BMT to maggots, ants, termites, silverfish and cockroaches, so be it. now that freaked him out, cos he had to spend 5 hrs after he got home in the wee hours of thursday morning to clean out his maggot-infested fridge. yuks. guys are just the most untidy creatures alive :p the dust dirt junk got me so exasperated to the point where the only thing i could say was, "throw throw THROW!" i did most of the packing, tidying and, of cos, throwing, while he handled the washing and mopping. the curtains, bedsheets, floor mats, bags etc were clean for the first time in donkey years. the house still isnt squeaky clean in every corner but that's all we could manage in 4 hrs. technically it's quite a feat already (:

my colleagues warned me about little mr handsome cum mr monster. from the photos, he's just about the most gorgeous kid ive ever seen and i cant wait to meet him next mon! anyway, the N1s and N2s today are extremely ADORABLE, even the whiney weeping ones! just woke up from a 2-hr nap. waking up at 5.30am and arriving 1 hr 15 min early was probably the silliest thing ive done in a long while.

1) try not to fall so many times

4) sneak to church more often
5) be nicer to my folks
6) start earning money instead of just spending money
okay there's a lot more but these are the random ones that i thought of. heh well im gona be a workaholic from 3 jan onwards so i wont be here too often to update. hmm like what pastor kong said, 2007 is gona be the best year yet (:
