FULL

random: having a national poet as your lit teacher IS kinda cool (:

within a span of 30min i found myself having 2 cip projects on hand. one proposed to be executed on aug 12, another in dec. ohmann. the one concerning the centre for the exceptional children, ive decided to let my boy take over the main role of organiser, because it just so happened to clash with my hist mock prelim =/ so sorry baby! ive been relegated to a secretary as a result haha. there're like a million thousand things to do in the next 3 wks. ahhhhhh! hope things turn out well. as for kai's event, i think HELPING OUT is the just about the only thing i can afford to offer for now. ohwell, ive kinda forgotten how a hectic life feels like. time to engage in it again (: now, i just wana sleep.

random

i should be in bed by now. it's past midnight and another school week awaits. my bod's aching. ran and swam like crazy today. i dont know, maybe just trying to let off some steam. haha, like i said, i mug to play. well well, quiet moments make me think, as usual. was really grateful for yesterday's service (: esp to ben, joanne and crisann who prayed for me. it's amazing, joanne couldnt be more accurate when she said she felt that ive been constantly disppointed and discouraged by people around me. heh, didnt know if i should cry or laugh when she said she thinks ive a "soft heart". yea, sounds really familiar. i remember an old friend, seeing me cry for the first time, telling me i seem like such a "tough cookie" outside but im quite a softie inside. initial impressions are usually deceiving :p

it's time

everyone's sinking into mugging mode already i guess. the few block test 2 results gotten back were enough to spur me on. it's another marathon all over again. tougher one, this time. scholarship day was just over, and ive narrowed down my choices to hope for a MAS or FIREfly scholarship to either nus or cornell. now i needa work hard. someone-whom-i-cant-remember told me yesterday that ive to start making sacrifices. yea, agreed. to start with, my boy and i are gona abstain from seeing each other, except for the special saturday next week (: he is one tough competitive mugger too mans. well, positive peer pressure (:

kicking in

phew. reality check. the past 4 days since the end of blocks seemed like a dream. one that i was freely dwelling in and from which i finally i realise i should emerge. got quite abit of shopping under way, gona snap up a few more things after school tmr, though. short day! (: thankfully. service on sunday was great! but as i was leaving i cant help but wonder, sadly, if i can continue attending sunday services =/

anyway, i wonder if we're getting back any papers tmr. im mentally prepared okay. E for math, E for lit, E for econs, C for history, C5/C6 for gp. perhaps, perhaps, perhaps. i took quite some time to slap myself with the unpleasant reality. i pictured everything in my head already. everyone stiffening at the sight of papers; teachers shuffling papers with grim looks; some giving whoops of joy; some sinking into silence; some gloating annoyingly loudly; some handing out sympathetic looks/remarks. i wish i can skip all of it. ALL of it. i just wana grab my papers and go. im tired of pretense. i need to work doubly hard, triply hard. underperforming for the past 1+ yrs isnt a joke. press on, like what pastor tan said last sunday. press on.

well, i glad the conflict's over. prayers do wonders indeed. i learnt something. all of us need new beginnings every now and then.

the time traveller's wife

i havent read a good book thoroughly in ages. chanced upon this 518-page bestseller at mph yesterday, and ive been hooked on it since then (: oh gosh. it's TERRIFIC! raised many questions in my head as i read. how different would it be if we all know our future? what if we travel back and forth in time? what is like to know life has been lived?

i cried. i guess the story moved me in a way no other ever did. i travelled with it.

"I love you always. Time is nothing."
