random

after numerous calls and emails, i'm now waiting for business school to give the green light. they asked if i've sought my home fac's approval, and i was thinking oh mann i've been bugging them for weeks already. anyway i sent her all my emails i exchanged with the dean's office and i reeeally hope to get an ans by tmr. raaaaaah. it sucks when you're trying to get on with life while something's nudging the back of your mind. i'm not even in the 'bidding mood' yet, not until ive settled this problem anyway. furthermore, the talks today proved less useful than i thought, and i drag myself to school for them feeling all jaded. AAAAHHHH.

shucks

i can only be pissed at myself for not going through the module info in detail before choosing managerial econs. like, damn, i would have steered clear of it if i knew it's a preclusion for econs exposure module. now business school pre-allocated it to me, and im having trouble getting rid of it. i emailed the personnel handling 2nd majors to ask if i can drop it even though my bidding round hasnt begun, and he said i can "proceed to drop the module via cors". BUT there's no checkbox under the 'Drop' column for me to select. urgh. i read up some module description manual and it says the checkbox will only be there if the modules are ALLOWED to be dropped. great. so somehow the system is not giving me the green light, and i cant help but feel rather panicky now. i emailed for help for the umpteenth time (gosh i think the person-in-charge's sick of receiving of my emails alrd) and i guess i can only get an answer earliest tmr. meanwhile, im quite down in the dumps. what if they insist i read that module. there goes my econs major. what a disgusting way to start the school term. oh mann i just hopehopehope i can drop it eventually without any hiccups.

someone please give me a reason to smile now.

idleness

xinyi's SUCH a bum! she looked like she hasn't slept in 10yrs when i met her this morning. eh no, afternoon actually. for once she was waiting for me- usually it's the other way round. heh i'm in love with renaldo's (is that how you spell the name) MANGO STRUDEL. though i made a total mess who prompted xinyi to make silly remarks like omg you eat like a hamster! well, i just got the sugar bits stuck all over my palm, thats all! anyway it's just YUMMYYUMMYYUMMY! we lazed on the sofas the entire afternoon, and of cos xinyi HAD to keep her feet on them, coolie-style haha. it feels great just catching up and talking about everything and anything. she knows and i know and she knows and i know... SO MUCH (:

we couldn't stop eating, so we made our way to island creamery thereafter. sigh in a few weeks' time we can't gloat at the students hanging out in public anymore- it'd be our turn once more to be NERDS and hit the books, after a 8-month hiatus. eeeeeeks. after that we headed to my alma mater to get my yearbook (yea FINALLY) and xinyi indeed has ALOT to say about topless guys running around, the "dull" atmosphere that permeates the whole place, the horrifying new arrangement of the class benches.. haha i'm quite immune already. i never really had particularly strong feelings towards the school, but i'm still glad to see the friendly bookshop auntie and bump into some of my juniors.

we got tired of walking around so we sat down for the next hour or so poring over the yearbook. haha xinyi and her ever-stupid comments never fail to perk me up! at one point it was, look at her face- she looks like she's waiting for tragedy to strike! and moments later, hahaha her feet are placed at a 75deg angle! or something like yucks can't he close his legs instead. oh at first i was amazed at how thick the book was, but it was later that i realised it's because they included all the class photos of the sec1 to 4 boys as well (x

as mentioned earlier, we couldn't stop eating. so guess what, we got mini poppers which xinyi munched all the way home :D

730 days and counting

"maybe there's really someone up there arranging all these."

this remark of yours is deeply etched in my mind. i'd prefer to believe that yes indeed things are destined to be the way they are now. you said you're fortunate to be able to remain at ocs which is so near both yours and my place, instead of some ulu camp where buses can't even access. absolutely. you said you're fortunate to be in foxtrot where compassion and reason are not compromised by discipline and rules. absolutely. you said you're fortunate that infantry life isn't (or has yet to be) as hectic as your counterparts in support arms. absolutely.

for me, a new chapter is beginning in uni, as you're whisked away to preparatory fieldcamps and brunei and taiwan. doesnt matter you dont comprehend the reasons for pulling my hair out over module systems, or i can't empathize fully with the rigours of your various exercises-- it's always the little things that make us happy (: a little gesture, a gentle touch, a kind word, a simple prayer, a sensual gaze.

here's a toast to our future, my man.

rant

to the itchy-fingered neighbour of mine who opened my letter that was delivered wrongly before dropping it into my mailbox, SCREW YOU.

why can't he/she have the courtesy of at least returning it untouched, i simply don't understand.

ACHING

ALL OVER. like seriously. my triceps neck back thumb butt. ice-skating (my virgin attempt!), arcade, bowling yesterday were crazyyy haha so TEENAGE but it was loads of fun with maddiemoo and coffeebean! wheeeee im so high today! it's like 10am in the morning and i'm actually WIDE AWAKE :D:D maybe it's because i can smell the weekend coming, or perhaps i just spoke to my man for the first time in 28hrs, or im just cranky :D gona collect my yearbook later (belicia reminded me of it when she told me ooooooh i saw you in the yearbook and i was like huh what yearbook) after so so so long, then im gona help kais revamp her wardrobe! she said it's collapsing in hopelessness. okay so basically my job is to clear out the old stuff and arrange the new stuff and hope she wont mess it all up again. heee.

hectic day

i finally decided to get my health check-up done and over with. this morning, upon exiting buona vista station i patiently waited for bus 95 hoping to get to sch in 10 mins or so. the journey took ONE HOUR instead because i went to the wrong bus-stop, and the bus went looping around holland road, holland drive etc etc omg i feel like an idiot. besides, i happened to board a non-aircon bus and it just so HAPPENED to rain, so all the windows were closed and i was being baked inside the whole time. what a ride! ohyes, peak-hour mrt traffic is INSANE. seriously, it's almost impossible to even breeeeeathe. there was this pregnant lady literally gasping for air even while sitting down. i must definitely keep in mind to avoid lecture time-slots during that period!

got to uhwc and ohman the queue was already pretty long by then. felt a sudden urge to pee while my particulars were taken so before i left the counter i asked where the nearest toilet is, and the medical officer, half-chuckling, told me eh that one later, take height and weight first THEN you do the urine thing okay? like okayyyy, i figure it wasnt very timely to NEED the washroom! anyway i held my bladder throughout the various tests and boy wasn't i glad when it was time for the urine test (x well there were several girls in the toilet going eew that was groooosssss and i must agree, given that it was my first time. oh and i learnt something: the nurse taking bp can be very nice to you if you smile alot at her (: thereafter was the chest x-ray. all i can say is, i pity the poor guy who has to say please take off your bra to the ladies probably a hundred times every day hahaha.

fell aslp while reading to kill time before lunch and was late for my date with kais! sorry darl (x BUT that woman tempted me into ordering coffee jelly (read: sinfully fattening dessert) at ichiban so perhaps im not so sorry anymore HUMPHHH. managed to get a little shopping done before rushing off to tuition. i realised there're actually things to BUY at amk hub :p

damn tired now. i wanted to upload camp photos but there're soooo many of them and i'll probably doze off midway. but i'll do it soon! the seniors did a great job with the photos and videos (: i love being a freshie heeeee.

my man's the best :D

random

it's another of those days when i just sit in front of the comp indulging in random thoughts until i decide to blog about one or two of them.

"maybe there's really someone up there arranging all these."

he gave the idea. im trying to picture it. one in the west of little island Singapore, the other 50 miles north of new york city. not for a few days, weeks or months, but four years. haha to this he'll probably gona say, oh c'mon i dont even know whether i'm ABLE to make it there. true, but wednesday's interview may very well be a giant step towards west point military academy. if it's meant to be, you'll get the opportunity, and prepare to leave this land a happy man. if not, then seek other paths until you approach the right one. i dont know why, but i'm a little nervous.

the epitomy of dumbness

I did several stupid things over the past few days:
1. Swung my wardrobe door into my forehead (and got a wound shaped like an exclamation mark).
2. Casually walked away with kais after a meal at tepanyaki without paying, and got chased down by a waitress in full view of other customers.
3. Allowed pf to demonstrate close combat training on me. It hurts like F. capital F.

Still, there're many things I've yet to complete. I havent gone for the health check-up (due to time-of-the-month screw-ups), I havent tried taking the mrt and bus to nus, I havent prepared anything for a number of upcoming special occasions, I havent received the darn REGISTRATION PACKAGE.

strangely, i cant wait for school to start.
