i was there at every stage. the scholarship application, the institute application, the interviews, the fitness test. i had high hopes, i wanted to be the source of motivation, i prayed hard for the opportunity of a lifetime to befall upon the deserving.
and right now i feel like a mom who just watched her son graduate.
i don't know what's in store for me, for us all. but i do know there's a time and season for everything. and i'm not saying this to make myself feel better, but simply because i know it's true.
Best birthday yet (: "Happiness oozing out of my pores" (haha see, i didn't plagarise!) used to be something beyond my imagination. But this entire week made me feel really really blessed. Thank you to all, you know who you are (:
19 more days to exams again. im struggling to find an optimum pace of studying cos i've to last until 8 may and i won't wana burn out anytime before that. and i still wana spend my last few weeks as a freshman in an enriching way, without breaking my momentum, without losing my senses. so believe me, there ARE definitely things that are beyond our control.
many wise words have been bestowed upon me recently and im feeling really, really thankful for the bunch of people around me whom i know i can depend on. at this point in time, i dare say im still happy (:
Why would anyone aspire to be a taitai, i really can't fathom. At least recently, taitais only: 1. Get sued for slapping stewardesses (whom they ridiculously assume are hitting on their old and loadedhusbands). 2. Sue country clubs for terminating their memberships. 3. Get criticised by the fashion police when attempts to carry off "gauzy chiffon confections" turn out to be a catastrophe. Making tons of generalisations here i know, but one cannot deny that more often than not, taitais are in the limelight for all the wrong reasons.
Closer to home, somebody should really teach clueless aunties how to use the treadmill properly. They set the machine to fullspeed, grab hold of handrails, hoist themselves up slightly and allow their feet to only scrape the surface of the moving belt every now and then, hoping to get a decent workout while the treadmill rumbles for hours and breaks down the very next day. Urgh.
To top off all that ranting, both macro tutorial and micro lecture are called off today so i'm going to school for only 45min of econometrics tutorial =/ fortunately there's kai's 20th to look forward to tonite so i'll probably study a little more in school before that. p.s: happy birthday darl! (:
