heralding 2009

haha hopefully that won't be me in the year ahead!

"... Behold, I make all things new." Rev 21:5
in retrospect, the turn of events in 2008 both worldwide and close to heart has left me rather bewildered to a considerable extent. but God has been the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. i'm thankful for being able to hold out till this day, and i know it's nothing less than faith that kept me going. and i believe i'm ready for bigger things ahead. my resolution for the new year would be to make it the adventure of a lifetime and unleash the dormant daredevil in me!

HAPPY NEW YEAR :D

Your 'work in progress'

"... it's amazing how perfect things can be. just with you."

it's so easy to look at the things one does and says, and jump to conclusions or pass judgemental comments, just as everyone is guilty of at some point in time. i'm probably one of the most cynical and critical people around. you taught me how to know and accept someone for who they are. and it all began with you. i still have a long way to go, but i'm just feeling so thankful for you just being you.

this christmas opened my eyes to many things, and raised much hope to what's in stall for the future.

to S/U or not to S/U

i guess i'm thankful enough to maintain the same CAP although this sem has been tough (: but i have a feeling it's just the beginning- things are gona get tougher (esp when i've decided to read four Level3 econs mods full swing next sem). just some brief stats: out of two S/U-able mods, if i S/U one, i'd see a 0.1 increase in my CAP; if i S/U both, it'd be a o.3 jump. the question is, is any of these worthy? would i be wasting any life-savers in the long run? should i view it as a strategic move, or an issue of no actual significance since i should be looking beyond the grades?

:(

Require reverse maneuvre
Strike kerb
Fail to keep within lane on straight road
Incorrect braking
Cause other vehicles to slow down or take evasive action
Fail to use appropriate gear
Fail to slow down when approaching road hazards

To add to the list:
Fatal nerves
Freaky tester who snapped, "THAT'S NOT IMPORTANT" when i greeted him.

36 dp. omg. mega sigh.

cold feet

3 hours before my driving test and i'm getting cold feet. and hands.

trying to tell myself, i've taken these routes a million times, i've done parking an infinite number of times, i've come a long way from a noob who couldn't make a proper turn.

omg i never knew this is gona be SO nerve-wrecking! i wasn't even half as freaked out during exams.

xinyi's probably having her warm-up drive now heh. she told me yesterday, "let's hope we pass together!" i hope so too!

nonetheless, feeling very thankful for all the encouragement received over the past week (:

a few stolen moments

i hope alexandra burke wins! she's very likely to be the next big thing after leona lewis. can you believe she's only my age? ohgosh. i've truckloads of respect for people with immense talent like her.

on a sidenote, my heart is miles away in japan.

nonetheless, can't wait for my driving test and to meet up with kais and dhan next week! (:

alive and kicking

couldn't resist the urge to pay my blog a visit so here i am!

many were cheering at the end of the singapore-india paper today - no prizes for guessing why - but i still have 2 more papers to go so... ohwell gotta save the cheer for wednesday instead. beginning to feel zen about exams, maybe it's simply because there have been so many of them, and they have become just part and parcel of school life. something that i've come to accept and have adjusted to. or rather, adjusting to. the moodswings still come and go, and i'm just as easily irritable as ever (x on a more positive note, i'm so so proud of tim for the awesome audition/opening act at indochine! wish i was there man. never mind, xinyi was the ever-enthusiastic groupie there on my behalf haha!

a little shoutout to dhan (again), KEEP YOUR SPIRITS UP OKAY (:
