thankyou
you're the only one who can make me laugh with a sad song (:
im a huge Carrie fan
She was drivin' last friday on her way to cincinnati
On a snow white Christmas Eve
Goin' home to see her Momma and her Daddy
With her baby in a back seat
Fifty miles to go and she was runnin' low
On faith and gasoline
It'd been a long hard year
She had a lot on her mind and she didn't pay attention
She was goin' way too fast
Before she knew it she was spinnin on thin black sheet of glass
She saw both their lives flash before her eyes
She didn't even have time to cry
She was so scared, she threw her hands up in the air
Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
'Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
Give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheelIt was still getting colder when she made it to the shoulder and that car came to a stop
She cried when she saw that baby in the back seat sleepin' like a rock
For the first time in a long time she bowed her head to pray
She said I'm sorry for the way
I've been livin' my life
I know I've got to change
So from now on tonight

create in me a new heart, one that follows you. place in me a deep desire, to know you as im known. set my feet in your ways, to live worthy of your call. draw me near to you Lord every single day. i just want to be, more like you, walk with you beside me Lord, wont you be my guide, place your heart inside my soul. a heart that's ever true, one that's after you.
the good and the ugly
I told my friends recently that I discovered the biggest challenge as a kindergarten teacher isn't dealing with the kids but with their parents. A recent incident aptly proved my point.
Mister, it was extremely unfair of you to make accusations simply based on the claims made by your over-protected, 5-year-old daughter. Aren't squabbles amongst kids very common? And it's only natural that boys become little rough when they get carried away. But I'm sure the boys aren't insensible to the extent of posing an immense physical threat to your precious child, unlike the exaggerated picture that you painted. Anyway, your ludicrous threats of reporting the matter to higher authorities aren't gona scare anyone, you finger-pointing vile creature.Man, I wish I've a chance to tell him that to his face.
Unpleasant events aside, interestingly, my boys do have their own unique and rather subtle means of expressing their friendliness. I was helping this boy Ben to hand out stickers to his eager friends when he suddenly took a flower-shaped one and muttered, "this one... I need to give somebody..." Then he turned to me, reached out and stuck it onto my blouse like how he did for the rest. Oh-so-heartwarming (: another kid Sam who's usually glum and grouchy, recently offered me a "wangwang" snack by simply holding it right under my nose and avoiding eye contact. Heh well, such sweet little gestures do make my day!
Oh yes, heartiest congrats to my officer cadet trainee (:

pepper lunch is a MUST-TRY! yummmm. and zomg, i discovered a new shopping haven, thanks to dearest yuqin!
perfecto, my fellow "cheapskate" :p oh and someone tell me how i can lay my hands on russell peters' latest dvd. several friends of mine are hardly amused by that guy, but somehow i find that he can make the most un-funniest things sound funny. or maybe im just too bored. i've been trying to spend my holiday more productively: i practise my bellydance moves (which i havent done for the past - omg - 7 wks); i swim so much that kais is convinced that my skin's gona rot some day; i revamped my ipod nano; i write random notes on silly-looking pig-shaped notepaper to my sis (who lives in the next room); i stalk my boy.
okay im just joking about last one.
i need to do more reading, or my brains will rust like those in my boy's (shaven) head!
crossroads
im back from hibernation (:
'A' level results are out; i'm halfway through my uni apps; i've been teaching for a term and am currently enjoying my one-wk break; my boy has just passed out of bmt... so many changes, so many decisions to be made. i aint exactly overwhelmed, though. it feels like things in my life has more or less been settled, and at this point im just looking forward to uni. yea, i've been telling everyone how badly i miss school. i can't wait to start anew.
well i'm considering closing down this blog, or going back to my opendiary, cos i dont think i'd have time to maintain this one regularly anymore. but i wonder what i should do with my 2+ years of archives man :p
