this is by far prolly my slackest midterm break, and i wonder if that's a cause for worry (x the fact is, i have the luxury of having only one test to study for this time round. financial econs isn't really my cup of tea but im pleasantly surprised at the amount of spare time i have on my hands, on top of going for much-needed consultations and compulsory social work visits. yet the practical side of me constantly reminds me of the fact that crazier days are coming up. there are already several headlines stuck in my head- 6, 16, 20, 24 march, 6 april. and others that i don't know about yet. haha and each time these reminders pop up, there is only one thought that flashes across my mind - the same thought that came to me when i was cruising on the expressway at 90km/h for the first time -
"oh God please take the wheel!"same prayer goes out to the tired/worn-out/busy people out there. you know who you are.

Is it really possible to see 2 rainbows at the same time? or is there some science behind it? i swear i didn't photoshop anything- they were really THIS close.
peak-hour menace
just as slow-moving cars are expected to keep to the left lane so as to avoid holding up traffic, slow-moving people (esp those wobbling in high heels) should really keep to the sides of the pavements/walkways leading to bus-stops/mrt stations, so that others - such as yours truly - who always have to sprint for the buses/trains will be able to catch them!

in social work lect, i happened to sit next to a senior from the same sec sch AND jc.
in financial tutorial, i discovered another senior who's my friend's current classmate's ex-cca mate. oh, whose sister is my classmate too.
in netball, i've a teammate (now THIS is something.) whose bestie is my ex-boyfriend's ex-girlfriend AND my primary school classmate; the same teammate is also my classmate's friend's neighbour. and this teammate is my og mate as well, who is in the same major as my boyfriend's bestie's girlfriend!

finesse
felt like it was just yesterday when i watched djokovic trump tsonga in the australian open final. but tonight, it was a nadal-federer thriller that kept me glued to tim's tv for 3 sets. a match that made me yell, cheer, gape, punch the air, hurl bolsters and pillows around. as the commentator quipped, we were watching possibly the world's greatest player ever and the world's greatest player of the moment. it was obvious that federer was the crowd favourite, and nadal was the one that awed everyone with magical touches. when federer sobbed on the rostrum i was so tempted to cry too! he's such a nice guy and gracious runner-up (im not call him a loser cos he sure isn't.) :) the first grand slam win of 2009 belonged to nadal, but the day is to be remembered for exquisite sportsmanship.
