kosmos
I made up my mind to do econs at nus fass. of course, people don't lift an eyebrow and go "wow" as compared to, say, if I claim I'm reading a double degree course in business and law. I admit I did think about the fact that I could have chosen that path, regardless of my chances of obtaining it. Or I could have accepted smu and be all hyped up to engage in its seminar classes and widely publicised 'hip' culture. But something tells me I should head for where I'll know I belong, where a conducive school environment means more than just state-of-the-art campus buildings, where I can once again embrace sports culture which I so loved and yet kinda neglected the past 2 years. Also, in the initial stages of deliberation I overlooked the rigours of DDPs in spite of the impressive edge that I know they can give me. There's such a thin line between challenging myself and recognising my limits.
Well, I took Mr Wong's advice to exploit nus' abundant resources and reputation. And I'll still have opportunities to pursue double majors if I decide I can cope after I've sufficient experience of uni life.
Today I'm once again reminded that I can create something big out of the little I have in my hands.
Looks like I gotta work extra hard in other areas to gain that edge.
