midnight rambling

Only 854 words in 12 hours. Gotta spend sunday finishing an essay again. It's annoying when people say things like "1500 words only, very easy one la!" because the fact is, I've never written tougher essays. Essays that make you do seemingly nonsensical things like looking up the meaning of "heritage" a million times so that you don't misuse such terms. Essays that forces you to distinguish between "the past" and "history". Strangely, I'm enjoying it. I think I discovered more about Chinatown in the past few weeks that I did in the past 10 years.

Checking out property prices in Kallang/Jalan Besar and analysing the idea of space in Esplanade would be fun too, but these would have to wait. I feel totally like a nerd now.

Hmm, probably the only part I'm not enjoying is sacrificing sleep. Night, world.
