crash and burn, GEMS!
This week may be the hot hot migraine-inducing CORS bidding season but I ain't gona talk about General Education Modules. I was referring to the Go the Extra Mile for Service movement that has been around for, what, 4 years?Go the extra mile? Personal experiences have proved that many still haven't taken the baby steps.
For instance, there is one hair salon that I swear I'd NEVER EVER visit ever again in my life. One bitten, twice shy. "A Cut Above The Rest" - YEA RIGHT. The hairstylist who was allocated to me actually left me freezing in my chair with my hair dripping wet for 15 minutes while he went to take a puff, kept disappearing randomly for intervals of 10-15 minutes without saying a word, and ended up giving me an absolutely disastrous trim. And he supposedly has 25 years of experience in the industry. HAH. Both his testimonial and the salon label can s*ck it!
Also, just a couple of hours ago, at a western food stall, I gave my order to the stall assistant and pointed out to her where I was sitting. She took a glance, nodded and shooed me off. But 30 minutes later, even the people who arrived later got their orders. When tim made a query about it, the woman snapped and kicked up a fuss, claiming that she "didn't hear anything". A simple, quick apology would have made things a lot easier, wouldn't it?
I don't think I'm nit-picking. I did sales before and I know that service level matters just as much as the product itself. Yawn. Enough of complaining. Badminton sessions thrice this week are wearing me out. And more bidding tmr. SIGH.
