My mentor is out of office today so I've more freedom with the time on my hands. Still in the middle of clearing some tasks but I can't help feeling overjoyed about the push sms that woke me up this morning! The fact is, every additional A+ isn't gona make me 10% more intelligent, or help me earn $10,000 more a year. I know full well that the reason I'm happy with my results is because I'm all the more convinced that hard/smart work pays off while complacency doesn't, that the multiple disappointments along the way are not meant to throw me off balance, that passion is what matters, and that emotional support works wonders :)

Fine, I admit, I have something on my mind that I've been dying to say aloud: In your face, ***** *******!! I'd prolly get into major trouble if I spell that out haha. Anyway, I'm not trying to be a bitch. I just feel that the whole notion of meritocracy is kinda screwed up in terms of how it is practised. Yes, grades are important, grades are useful, but grades are not the most accurate reflection of one's ability and competency.

Okay, I've said it, I feel a lot better now. Now I'm ready to let it go :D
