didn't see it coming

life springs surprises on you all the time, doesn't it?

i hope that by not flaring up, i can say i've managed to keep my fiery temper in check.
i hope that by facing it calmly, i can say i'm behaving in a mature manner.
i hope that by forgiving, i can say i'm on my way to being a good testimony.
i hope that by thinking for the future, i can say i'm learning not to dwell on the past.
i hope that by caring for the welfare of various parties, i can say i'm still compassionate.

and for all the above reasons, i hope i can say i am worthy.
