whatkindalove

i just popped by some blog set up by 2 gay boys. no, im not trying to insult anyone here; they are really gay. well, there has always been much talk about homosexuality. it's evident that the concept of a gay lifestyle is one that mainstream society is still attempting to grapple with. think Brokeback, gay bars, gay parties, or even those making out in public -- and many will probably say "EEW how gross!" hmm im not exactly anti-gay, and the presence of gays dont shock me. at least i wasnt disgusted by Brokeback. it's just that, urm, frankly, the contents of the blog are enough to send a chill down my spine. look, people are inevitably uncomfortable with the idea of some gay couple pouring out their most heartfelt emotions in their blogs and making known their tremendous passion for their other half of the same gender. it's extremely ironic that on one hand, they claim that they "cant be bothered" by the anti-gay comments posted on the blog and on the other hand, complain endlessly about the strange looks they get on the streets and how society just cant seem to accept them. oh man, i wish i can tell them in their face: accept the fact that society has trouble accepting you. i have more respect for gays who are able to come to terms to this cold, hard truth than those who actively engage in public display of affection (via various mediums) for the sake of proving to everyone else that they will have their way, just as they like it. *shrug. ohwell enough of gay talk. time to get back to work. it's only less than TWO WEEKS to blocktest2!
